ON HUMAN SEXUALITY
GENDER:
In the day that God created man, he made him in God’s likeness. He created them male and female, and blessed them. On the day they were created, he named them Man.
Genesis 5:1-2
Yahweh God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. As the man slept, he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. 22 Yahweh God made a woman from the rib which he had taken from the man, and brought her to the man. 23 The man said, “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh. She will be called ‘woman,’ because she was taken out of Man.” 24 Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh.
Genesis 2:21-24
For a man indeed ought not to have his head covered because he is the image and glory of God, but the woman is the glory of the man. For man is not from woman, but woman from man; for man wasn’t created for the woman, but woman for the man.
1 Corinthians 11:7-8
HOMOSEXUALITY:
You shall not lie with a man as with a woman. That is detestable.
Leviticus 18:22
If a man lies with a male, as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination.
Leviticus 20:13
Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10
TRANSGENDER:
God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them.
Genesis 1:27
A woman shall not wear men’s clothing, neither shall a man put on women’s clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh your God.
Deuteronomy 22:5
He who is emasculated by crushing or cutting shall not enter into Yahweh’s assembly.
Deuteronomy 23:1
Whoever receives one such little child in my name receives me, but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck and that he were sunk in the depths of the sea.
Mathew 18:5-6
MARRIAGE:
Therefore, a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh.
Genesis 2:24
Haven’t you read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh? So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart.”
Mathew 19:4-6
…wives, be in subjection to your own husbands, so that, even if any don’t obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word, seeing your pure behavior in fear. Let your beauty come not from the outward adorning of braiding your hair, and of wearing gold ornaments or of putting on fine clothing, but from the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in God’s sight. 5For this is how in the past the holy women who hoped in God also adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands. So Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose children you now are if you do well and are not put in fear by any terror. You husbands, in the same way, live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman as to the weaker vessel, as also being joint heirs of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.
1 Peter 3:1-7
But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.
1 Corinthians 11:3
Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.
Hebrews 13:4
Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without defect. Even so husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly, because we are members of his body, of his flesh and bones. For this cause a man will leave his father and mother and will be joined to his wife. Then the two will become one flesh. This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and the assembly. Nevertheless, each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
Ephesians 5:22-32
ABORTION:
Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.
Jeremiah 1:5
There are six things which Yahweh hates; yes, seven which are an abomination to him: arrogant eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood,…
Proverbs 6:16-17
Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward.
Psalm 127:3
You shall not murder.
Deuteronomy 5:17
For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Psalm 139:13
I call heaven and earth to witness against you today that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. Therefore choose life, that you may live, you and your descendants, to love Yahweh your God, to obey his voice, and to cling to him; for he is your life, and the length of your days, that you may dwell in the land which Yahweh swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
Deuteronomy 30:19-20
ON RESPONSIBILITIES OF CHRIST’S FOLLOWERS
SALT AND LIGHT:
You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its flavor, with what will it be salted? It is then good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under the feet of men. You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can’t be hidden. Neither do you light a lamp and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house. Even so, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
Mathew 5:13-14
GREAT COMMISSION:
Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
Mathew 28:19-20
OCCUPY UNTIL JESUS RETURNS:
As they heard these things, he went on and told a parable, because he was near Jerusalem, and they supposed that God’s Kingdom would be revealed immediately. He said therefore, “A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return. He called ten servants of his and gave them ten mina coins, † and told them, ‘Conduct business until I come. But his citizens hated him, and sent an envoy after him, saying, ‘We don’t want this man to reign over us. When he had come back again, having received the kingdom, he commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by conducting business. The first came before him, saying, ‘Lord, your mina has made ten more minas. He said to him, ‘Well done, you good servant! Because you were found faithful with very little, you shall have authority over ten cities. The second came, saying, ‘Your mina, Lord, has made five minas. So he said to him, ‘And you are to be over five cities. Another came, saying, ‘Lord, behold, your mina, which I kept laid away in a handkerchief, or I feared you, because you are an exacting man. You take up that which you didn’t lay down, and reap that which you didn’t sow. He said to him, ‘Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked servant! You knew that I am an exacting man, taking up that which I didn’t lay down and reaping that which I didn’t sow. Then why didn’t you deposit my money in the bank, and at my coming, I might have earned interest on it?’ He said to those who stood by, ‘Take the mina away from him and give it to him who has the ten minas. They said to him, ‘Lord, he has ten minas! For I tell you that to everyone who has, will more be given; but from him who doesn’t have, even that which he has will be taken away from him. But bring those enemies of mine who didn’t want me to reign over them here, and kill them before me. Having said these things, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.
